2 Clean & Paint?
How does it look? This might be the time to dust and clean the walls, floor and shelves before you put everything back. Consider a fresh coat of paint as well.

3 Throw Away & Donate Before they go back in the closet, examine each piece for stains, holes, or just pieces that are tired and worn out. If they're not worth donating, and you're not using it for painting or yard work, then it's time to let go and throw them away. Now you're down to the "good stuff." Think hard about whether you actually wear each piece. If you haven't worn something in the past 12 months (through all 4 seasons), because you don't love it or it doesn't fit well, then it's time to donate. There are a few exceptions like special event clothes, but its time to get rid of those clothes you HOPE will fit again someday. |
